RE: algae eating shrimp



The fellow I talked to indicated that these were relatively new arrivals, so
they may not have had them in yet three weeks ago. Don't know.

These are definitely not Amanos. I have them side by side now, and for one
thing the body shape is a little bit different- the nose is more pointy, and
the tail markings are definitely diferent. Now that they have had a bit to
settle in (well, a couple hours ;) They are starting to settle in to their
(true?) darker colors. I have never seen Amanos or photos of them turn any
color, let alone ehibit shades from pale to bright reds, and blue to almost
black, with really striking contrast in the bright tan stripe down the back,
crosshatched  on the tail. As I said before, they look to me more like the
Bee Shrimp than the Amanos. I justy hope they are, and that these guys
decide to breed in my tank. I would love to have a tankful.
