I have some very special fish that I?ve been keeping for quite a while that I must find new homes for because I have permanently injured my wrist and back and can?t take care of the tanks any longer. Four of the fish I believe would be better off in a pond. The fish are as follows: 1) 8", 5 year old Common (possibly Nymph) Goldfish, very hardy, playful, fast swimmer 2) 4", 1.5 year old Sarassa Comet, playful and hardy 3) 4", 1.5 year old Sarassa Comet, playful and hardy 4) 4", 2 year old Common Goldfish, playful and hardy The above fish are kept in a 60 gallon acrylic "Tru-Vu" tank with a 250 H.O.T. Magnum and an Emperor 280 filter. I think that, due to their body style, they probably should be in a pond for the rest of their lives. I also have: 1) 3", 2 year old Lionhead Goldfish, healthy 2) 3", 1.5 year old Lionhead Goldfish, healthy 3) 3", 1.5 year old Lionhead Goldfish, healthy These fish are in a 46 gallon glass bow front black tank with stand. None of these fish have had any serious disease and I change their water, vacuum the gravel and test the water regularly. I would greatly appreciate a response if possible- I have sent an email to the Kitsap Aquarium Society and also tried initially to get in touch with the Goldfish Sanctuary but I understand that they don?t have a chapter out this way. I really, really want the fish to go to a home where they will be well-taken care of and live long healthy lives.
