For those interested in discussions of Biotope Aquaria, here is a person running a discussion board. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Ron Skylstad <skylstad@wvi.com> Hey Erik, my name is Ron (a.k.a. skylsdale) and I am a moderator for a freshwater biotope forum on the UBB Aqualink, which is actually based out of Seattle. I have visitied theKrib many times, as well as perused the GSAS website. I'm not sure whether or not you have heard of or even visited Aqualink, but it is a great place for fellow hobbiests share problems, info, and experiences with aquaria. It is NOT a commercial site. Just recently we were able to add a biotope forum for those people who are into the "details" of aquarium keeping--myself being one of them. It's only a couple weeks old, but some of the response has been fantastic. It gives some of the veterans a new challenge, and helps the newbies understand some of the conditions their fish actually came from and thrive under. But, traffic is a bit slow and information is extremely sparse on this sort of subject. That is why I'm contacting you. I was wondering if, through your involvement in the GSAS, you know of anyone who keeps biotope-specific tanks, and if they wouldn't mind sharing with me about their tanks or even sending pics for others to see? They are more than welcome to jump on board at Aqualink as well if they wish. I'm not sure if you know anyone doing this, but just thought I would drop you a line. Thanks Oh yeah, just in case you want to check the place out, here's the link: http://www.aqualink-too.com/ubb/board/ultimatebb.cgi --Ron Skylstad--
