RE: Eurgggh! Cyclops infestation!

I know the chances of getting Guinea worm from cyclops in Seattle is almost exactly zero. Realistically, from a parasitical point of view, I'm far more likely to get tapeworm from accidentally ingesting the eggs of cat fleas.

But still - Guinea worm is gro-o-o-o-o-ss! :)

I can bring some small wads of Glossadelphus to the meeting if anyone's interested. It's pretty nifty stuff for a spawning/fry tank, but it would cause nothing but problems in a regular tank! It has a habit of growing up and around other plants - not unlike ivy. Hopefully I'll be able to hand out samples which are cyclops-free!

Many people value cyclops as a fry food. I get many of them from my daphina

I wouldn't worry about it, just let the babies eat them.
Any chance of getting a start of Glossadelphus from you at the meeting next
week?
