Hi Trish and welcome. Yes you can feed the bay shrimp. All my fish love it from tiny to hugh. I just smash up in my fingers for the little ones. I buy it Albertsons when it's on sale and ask them put just a scoop in several small containers and then freeze them. Then pull one out let defrost and feed. I have South American cichlids so they don't want any peas, but I am sure your Africans will just love it peas and all! If you need anymore info on live food just ask I have raised and fed it all. Currently have earth worms and white worms. Good luck Sandy Trish <snips36@yahoo.com> wrote:Hi all- I have a question here...was wondering if anyone has ever used shrimp for fish food. Meaning the shrimp we eat...the little ones. Can I somewhat unthaw this, chop this up, say with some frozen peas, freeze it into cubes, and use this as a treat food? Thanks, Trish PS I think the Tilapia Buttikoferi's are getting ready to spawn. He has been digging all day, and I have huge piles of sand in the tank. I don't expect anything real soon, but it is a beginning though. It's funny if I am close to the tank he will stop digging, and actually watch every move I make.{ I tried this for an hour today}...if I sit a ways away,{another 1 1/2 hours} he will dig but with caution, and still watching me. Rather interesting. I'll keep you all posted __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier.
