I can't find it online, it looks interesting. Of course we all knew this already but it's always good to have a scientist back it up.
I saw a funny behaviour in the community tank when I dumped 7 raspboras in with a bunch of killies. The raspboras immediately formed a little school, and the biggest notho male stormed into it and did his display of strength, power, and authority thing to convince them to shove off and stay out of his territory. The schooling fish were very much impressed by his display, and immediately elected him their leader. They followed him relentlessly in everything he did for hours, which resulted in him swimming desperately from one end of the tank to the other trying to shuck them off, with all 7 stretched out behind him mimicking his every move. If I have ever seen an example of fish exasperation this was it. The raspboras did eventually lose interest in their leader as he didn't seem to have very many good ideas, he didn't stay where the food usually got dumped.
At least that is how it looked to me. :) Kate B Oly WA ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, please send mail to majordomo@thekrib.com with "Unsubscribe gsas-member" in the body of the message. Archives of this list can be found at http://lists.thekrib.com/gsas-member/
