I usually treat discus with those symptoms with Metronidozole. It works best to isolate the discus in a smaller tank like a 10-20g and raise the temperature to 90. Then add 250mg every 8-12 hours with a 40% water change between each dose. You will also find good advice on the website www.simplydiscus.com

Help! My blue diamond discus is wasting away even though she will eat. She seems like she is breathing rather fast. My water temp is 82 degrees. I put in some sodium chloride thinking that it was gill flukes.
