You could try the scratch removal kit. Drs. Foster and Smith sells one for 
around $30. If that doesn't work, you can still salvage the tank by taking it 
to a plexiglass place. I know of one here in Tacoma. What a serious bummer!!!

  Thats a large tank, and alot of money you put into it. There are products 
  that should help or remove the scratches, but in my opinion the tank will 
  never be the same. You might think about speaking with her, and maybe even 
  having her at least pay for the scratch removal kit, if the talk goes over
