Hi everybody! I am heading out of town in July when I'll be going to California over Independence Day. I would like to find a pet sitter or two that I could call on when need be. Even if you're not available over the 4th, if you'd still consider watching my animals then it would be nice to have a friend in mind that I could ask in the future. I know that all of us keep fish, but I have other pets as well so I'd love to find somebody who can look after all of my kids. I have 5 fish tanks. I don't anticipate any of my aquariums needing cleaning more than once per week, and even that can slide for 2 weeks+ because I've never had any problems with them. I would not want my fish to go without feeding for longer than 1 week though. I need somebody who will not overfeed them or otherwise love/harm them in any way so I prefer somebody who knows about fishkeeping. I also have 3 cats. I would like their 2 litter boxes cleaned at least once a day. One bowl of food per day. And fresh water. It's pretty likely that I would have to kennel my dog, but I'll mention her anyway. She gets terrified when kenneled and does not eat, go potty, play, or relax at all. If somebody could watch her she only needs feeding once per day and potty two times a day in the AM and PM. She's adorable, friendly, and silly. She's a 4 year old about the size of a border collie who has the personality of a golden retriever. It's possible that I may have a pair of budgies or cockatiels in the future as well. So I'm looking for an animal lover who would be confident caring for my animals while I'm away. I live very close to Alpine Animal Hospital here in Issaquah which is open 24 hours in case of emergency. If you or somebody you know would be willing to make daily visits to watch the animals please let me know. House sitting is another option if that would work out better. We can discuss payment. I'm also willing to offer the same services in return. I thought I would ask here first because I'm really more concerned with an accident occurring with my tanks. Cats and dogs are kind of no brainers most of the time :) I actually worked at Alpine Animal Hospital so I have been exposed to many different animals, emergencies, and have a good idea when a situation needs attention. I'm not looking for somebody who is licensed and bonded necessarily (I am not). Just somebody trustworthy and experienced who loves animals. As far as my personal experience with animals, I have kept the following: Cats Dogs Fish Lovebirds Amazon parrot Guinea Pigs Gerbils Mice Hamster Turtles .... I think that's it :) Holly ~ --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, please send mail to majordomo@thekrib.com with "Unsubscribe gsas-member" in the body of the message.
