Anubias cuttings for the taking (fwd)
This is a guy who entered the AGA Aquascaping Contest the last couple
years and is local. Check out his link -- nice plants. Please e-mail Kim
directly, not me. :)
PS: THANKS to all of you folks who helped me out at the meeting last week
by modelling for the AGA Aquascaping Contest 2004 logo. I'm almost
finished with it and everyone who has seen it says it looks GREAT and
where'd I find all those people... I'll post a link when I have the final
one.

Subject: Anubias cuttings for the taking
Hello Erik:
Long time no E-mail. Hope this finds you well and still enthusiastic about
aquatic gardening. I've been a bit distracted with work and other hobbies
of late (plus a new Pug puppy).
Anyway: I just hacked back my Anubias jungle yesterday. The amount of plant
material that came out of the aquarium was incredible. As a result. I
have a TON of Anubias plants for the taking.
Do you know anyone locally that might want them? Here's what I've got
sitting in a 5-gallon bucket of water by our kitchen window:
* Several large Anubias frazeri
* Several large Anubias nana (at leats that is is what azgardens.com said
it was; it got HUGE; leaves are about 2.5 inches across)
* Several large Anubias coffeefolia (broken into plants varying in length
of 4 to 6 inches long).
I'm offering some of the A. coffeefolia to my daughter's elementary
classroom for their guppy tank.
It's amazing what these will do over the course of a year under moderately
bright light with CO2, Flourish tabs, and occasional Jobe's
Spikes. Sheesh. They seemed to have accelerated their growth over the
past two or three months.
You can find some images here:

(You could also thread to that from my plant tank home page, but the link
above takes you straight there. And the thread is kind of buried.)
Take care.
