Custom Aquarium Stands

Good Morning,

At the last general meeting I got into a bit of a discussion with some members 
about making wood aquarium stands that are different than what you can find in 
a Fish Store.  I have found that there are only a limited number of styles for 
aquarium stands if you buy one from a fish store.....and I like variety.  With 
that in mind I built my own to match my interests, but, I enjoy woodworking.  A 
number of members have asked if I would be interested in building stands for 
them.  If I had the time I would really enjoy doing that.  However, I have a 
good friend, who does extremely nice work, that builds custom furniture as a 
side business and I asked him if he would be interested in these types of 
projects and he said "Absolutely".  He has done a custom stand using wood and 
laminate in the past.  The pic for this stand is on the website below, look 
under the tab labeled "Specialty Items".  He noted that he would be willing to 
do furniture quality custom stands or "production line" stands.  "Production 
Line" stands would entail simple designs with the idea that he was going to 
make 3 or more stands at a time.  If any of you are interested in this type of

appears to be a need in our Club.  I hope this is ok.
