Re: scraping acrylic aquariums
You can use coarse filter floss. It's some type of polyester batting material,
probably the same stuff they use for quilts. I just ordered a Kent Pro Scraper
because it will get into the cracks of plexiglass and glass. It's the fancy one
with the short handle.

They do make spounges safe for acrylic tanks....and
credit cards work well to.
You can buy the spounge things at really any pet
store, and they say safe for acrylic tanks.
