Erik brings up a good point. All the siliconE out there that is mildew resistant has some form of mildew killer in it, these mildew killers are usually metals such as arsenic or copper......metals that do not mix well in high doses with fish. I am sitting here looking at a tube of GE SiliconE II as I write this and it does not state that it is mildew resistant however. It does, however, warn that methanol and ammonia are released during its curing cycle........this means do not use it on a tank and then introduce fish into the tank until the material has fully cured or you will most likely run the risk of killing your fish with ammonia and methanol. Full cure takes 24 hours to accomplish. GE advertises their SiliconE II as their top of the line siliconE too, being good for indoor or outdoor use. I think the II's may have all had anti-mildew agents in them, including the clear ones!
