It looks like my honey gouramis spawned in my work tank over the weekend. I have 2 pairs in this tank: 10g densely planted well-matured tank. It also looks like the snails in the tank are zeroing in on the area with the bubbles and the dominant male isn't doing anything about it. Probably can't (weak grin). I've got ramshorn, pond and Malaysian trumpet snails in the tank and even the trumpets have crawled up into the duckweed and hornwort/Hygrophilia mat where the bubbles are. Are snails typically egg predators? I don't remember ever having this problem with cichlids, but then the cichlid parents may be more aggressive or focused on egg protection than a gourami. My white cloud rainbow minnows spawn prolifically in a container with lots of snails as well. Thoughts? I guess I'd better set up a tank without snails, just in case.....my loaches are in for a snail fest!
