I recently picked up 6 'scarlet Badis' at Blue Sierra and it looks like I've got all males. I hear this is not unusual, and that females are very hard to find. I would like to try to spawn/rear these little gems, but if I'm not able to do that, they are still a really cool fish if you like small critters! For those unfamiliar with this fish, take a peek at (scroll down): http://www.azgardens.com/misc_fish.php Anyone keep these fish? Have you spawned them/reared fry? Can I work something out for 1-2 females? By the way, I have the 6 in a well-planted 10g tank and so far, they are doing great....taking daphnia and small mosquito larvae but are indifferent to flakes. I'm hoping the 2 wild-type guppy females and the male honey gourami in there will convince them that flake is eatable <G>.
