Looks like I got off the hook for my Enumclaw meeting on August 14, so I'll be coming to the picnic. I'll bring a side dish of some sort...a salad type thing with some kind of protein in it (eg. chicken, faux crab). Anyone want a wild-type male honey gourami? I have two smallish ones that I won't use for breeding that I don't need. I don't have enough females to make this a pair giveaway....but it would be nice to let these little males live in a community tank set up. They eat anything. They seem to get along well with most fish I've got without causing problems. They really have personality! Give them a planted tank and some live food and they'll color up for you too! I've had them since 3/26/04 and they were probably wild-collected. Got them in a bag of 12 from Blue Sierra as a special order. Now, if I can just get these little beauties to spawn in the new tank without snails, maybe I can actually RAISE some! I think they've been spawning about every other week in my tank here at work, but it's always over the weekend. Compatibility - I've had them in the following set ups: 12g Eclipse/planted with 3 pairs of threadfin rainbows 6g Eclipse/planted with 3 Botia striata, 2 small Otocinclus 29g community/planted with Rasbora espei, wild-type guppies, Botia sidthimunki, Boraras maculatus (R. maculata),'giant' Otocinclus 10g/planted with 'scarlet Badis' (Dario dario?), wild-type guppies Let me know.
