Yep, it's me. I contacted Susan privately with several options, but if others have known age fish that die, I would love to examine their otoliths and attempt to figure out the growth patterns. The fish need to be more than 1 year of age, and I can't guarantee that I'll be able to even find the otolith in some species. The larger the otolith, the easier it is to find....and some really huge fish (like tuna/mackerels) have very very small otoliths that are very difficult to extract (shrug). You don't really know what to look for until you try to find it <G>. Maybe, if I can accumulate enough otoliths, and I can make sense out of the patterns, we could put together a short program for you all at some point in time.
