Well as I suspected the crawdad died....I just cleaned the tank, and took out what was left of the one, for the water was looking pretty cloudy. I also added some Cichlid Vital. Not sure if it is needed, but don't think it can hurt either. So we'll see how it goes now with this one. The one which died was the one which was had blue on it. The other is more of a redish brown. So am going to start feeding it some carrots to help with coloration. Have read that they enjoy this, and other vegetable matter..... I was amazed at how soft the shell was on the one which had died, so I see how vuneralable they would be in the wild, while moulting. I noticed of what shell was left, {the back and tail} for the other one had eaten most of the rest, am thinking it had shed all it's shell, but then the other had attacked it, and then killed it. Then in turn munched away..... So now I know for if we get another, I will have to have better hiding places for them. I do have 2 caves, and also some river rock for them, but obvisiouly it wasn't enough. Need to have caves, which they can actually retreat completely, into.
