I've got a large (4 or 5 inches not counting tail) marbled angel in my largest
tank. I added 6 half-dollar sized angels, hoping to eventually have a breeding
pair. Now, I knew my 39 gal tank isn't large enough for them when they were
all grown, but thought that it would suffice for a few months.
Trouble. Of course.
The large angel keeps chasing the small angels. It doesn't care about any of
the other fish in the tank, but it is very territorial against the small
angels, who seem to be doing fine despite the chasing, but it has to be adding
to their stress..
I know the ideal would be to move the angels to a larger tank, but I don't have
a larger tank, and no funds to buy one at the moment. I also don't have an
appropriate tank to separate out the large angel.
Would re-arranging the plants in my tank into 3 territories, so that from any
position in the tank, the large angel can't keep track of every place -- would
that be a reasonable solution?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer silly newbie questions.
Anita
