I saw this in a fish mag once... I can dig it out tonight if the reference is not found by the list first. In summary: emperor tetras are relatively easy as their environment is not as seasonal as say, neons. The author just established a species tank and little ones just kept popping up without trying to raise the young. I think you sex by eye color but I could be wrong there. -Paul -----Original Message----- From: gsas-member-bounces@thekrib.com [mailto:gsas-member-bounces@thekrib.com] On Behalf Of Kate Breimayer Sent: Thursday, November 11, 2004 11:52 AM To: Greater Seattle Aquarium Society member chat Subject: Re: [GSAS-Member] Anyone ever breed emperor tetras? Hi, Ever since we had Randy Carey talk at a meeting I have been toying with the idea of raising the emperor tetra. He said it could be done. Anyone ever try it? I have access to two nice pairs that are doing well, they are not his famed "black emperors" though. Don't want to try it if it's beyond my scope. Breeding killies is easy, tetras are supposed to be difficult. I need to stop seeing all these famed speakers at fish club meetings, they give me bad ideas!
