Hi Fran Places like Home Depot has it in 25 lb bags for < $4 AFA the issue of lead in Dolomite, Thanks John for food for thought here. I know that years ago Dolomite became unpoopular as human supplement due to contaminates. Baking soda is great for shifting pH but for those with planted tanks, it can't provide the calcium and magnisium needed for the plants. Since it is commonally used in farming and on lawns and gardens to "sweeten" acid soil, I will do some reserarch and get back to the list. Guess some research on effects of lead on our fish may also be in order. In the meantime, DO NOT eat your Endlers. ;-> June Olberding on 2/21/05 2:09 PM, auntie.fran@netzero.net at auntie.fran@netzero.net wrote: > > June, where does one find powdered dolomite?
