Ooooooooo, Dave, I would be careful on this one. Does algae really die
when dried? Or, like a virus or bacterium, can it go dormant under
adverse conditions and then come back to haunt your tank on a later
date? Perhaps, the drying temperatures are adverse enough to kill the
algae? Dunno......but, an interesting concept.

I have never had an algae problem related to feeding the algae wafers
for pleco's and other bottom feeders. I think that by the time its been
dried, processes, stored, it must be dead! dave
