No sander in tank with fish and full of water. That would equal a big
electric shock for both them and me. What I wanted to know is if the black
wet/dry sandpaper is non-toxic to the fish for doing hand-sanding in the
tank. I used 2000 grit, which leaves a hazy finish, using the electric
sander, before I set up the tank. Next grit, will be finer, and will scour
off the algae at the same time, as it grows, so I'm not waiting any longer;
the tank is up and running!

OK Susan, you have me concerned now... Using "Sander" and "while the fish
are in the tank" in the same paragraph sounds problematic. What KIND of
sander? Not electric right?
