Which brings up a question -- I know that we had a plant auction a couple of
months ago, but the principal thing I have to bring to an auction right now is
a variety of plants. Are these welcome auction items?
And if they are -- the "frill" that I bought turned out to be milfoil, and it
has been brought to my attention that it is a banned plant. So is it kosher to
bring it to the auction, as long as I label that it should NEVER be disposed of
in a way that will land it in a waterway, or should I just keep it home?
I'm probably putting WAY too much thought into this . . .

I will bring four bags of clippings to the GSAS auction. The packages will
be at least 1) 3 species of Hygrophila, 2) "grassy" plants live val, sag, chain
sword, 3) "easy" plants like java moss/fern, 4) assorted which will likely be a
bit of everything above.
Three packages are already spoken for (Deb BAP, Susan BAP, Anita HAP) which
leaves one left after the members above sort out what they would like. The
last package will either go to the next HAP poster or be put in the auction.
When awarding HAP awards there is a requirement for Expert Aquatic
Horticulturist (300 points) of an "oral or written report." Can anyone comment
as to how this requirement was filled in the past? Any ideas on what it should
be?
Finally, are there a sufficient number of computers and volunteers Bob? Do
you need someone to do "color" for plant items?
