I order extra sheets to make three complete acrylic scratch-remover kits. I checked the hardware stores and auto-paint shops with no positive results. The finest grit available at Wesco Auto Paint was 25 sheets of McGuire's 3000 grit sand paper. They had no idea what Micro-mesh was. I finally found a source. The sheets can be used wet or dry, and are 3" x 6" of a durable cloth. I am going to use it in the tank, and have the siphon hose going next to the area I am working on. It is much easier to wet-sand acrylic then to use it dry. When used dry, the sanding cloth and everything gets hot from the friction. When used wet, it is 3X faster, and the cloth doesn't get clogged. I grit size I got are: 1800, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, 12000. I am selling each kit for $22, and will be bringing them to the meeting tomorrow night. You can use them for acrylic aquariums, but also to take scratches out jewelry, plastic car signal lights, etc. I thought someone in the club might want a kit, so I took a chance and ordered extra.
