I got your name from the Seattle Aquarium Society website. It looks like a
great club. The reason I'm writing is: I live on Bainbridge Island, and I
am moving to eastern Washington on June 15th. I have a gorgeous collection
(approx. 20) of Lake Malawi Africans. The fish would make a handsome
addition to any cichlid hobbyist's collection. Three or four of the fish
are in the six inch range. Great coloration and markings. All in all,
it's a peaceful tank. Females brood with regularity.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the Africans, but I fear they would not survive
the rigors of so lengthy a trip.
If there are hobbyists in your club who collect African cichlids, kindly
pass along my contact information. I'd be happy to make an inventory of
the fish available.
