[GSAS-Member] African Cichlids

The fish are home after their outing on the boat and a car ride. On the
ferry ride home, they were not doing good, especially the really big ones;
they were floating upside down! I got a bucket of water on the ferry, which
was good timing since someone had just barfed and they had the hose handy. I
added Stress Coat to all the buckets, and splashed the water in each of the
six buckets to aerate it for the whole rest of the trip on the boat. They
all made it. The one beat up fish in the fish hospital, and I put silver
nitrate in their cloudy eyes. I added Melafix to the water for their wounds
and scrapes (tea tree oil).

Folks, these fish are HUGE, way bigger than I expected, and have very pretty
bright colors, orange, red, black, white and of course blue. They're all
from Malawi. If you plan on bidding on these fish, bring buckets with lids.
I'll give you the fish list later today. I'm pooped.

Susan
