3. 40g Lake Malawi youngster tank w/ about 10 4-8 month olds and a pleco. 4. 20g Jewel cichlid tank w/ a mated pair and their fry. 5. 10g dwarf puffer tank w/ 2 dwarf puffers and the discus. I would hate to have them die because I'm going on vacation. Thanks! Monica
Monica,While a normal feeding and water changes are best, have you considered not feeding the discus for the week and a half while on your vacation? They will be fine without food for that amount of time and the additional benefit is the water quality stays better when they are not eating.Just my .02 PaulFrom: "Monica H" <ninita@hotmail.com>Reply-To: Greater Seattle Aquarium Society member chat<gsas-member@thekrib.com>To: gsas-member@thekrib.com Subject: [GSAS-Member] Anyone in the West Seattle area? Date: Tue, 05 Jul 2005 16:53:03 +0000My partner and I are going on vacation August 4th - 15th. I was wondering if anyone on this list is in the West Seattle area (or close) and would be interested in "fish sitting"? All that would need to be done is 1 water change (about 10-20%) on about 5 tanks while we are gone, and 2-3 water changes on the discus tank. Also, perhaps feeding some frozen and/or foods a few times, mostly for the discus. I can have my neighbor do this but would prefer someone on the list IF there is anyone close by. I can pay you. Thanks.Monica _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member_______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member
