OK, I'm desperate, so I'm trying to sell two (well, sorta 3) of my 20 gallon tanks. Tank A is the perfect planted tank for fish that can't live with plants. It's got an onyx sand substrate, and a whole bunch of "matching" rocks to allow freedom in building cubbies, etc. It's got 2 pieces of bogwood, one a fairly straight stick and one is a twisty african bogwood. And it's got java ferns, lots and lots of a dwarf java fern, which I was going to tie to the rocks and bogwood, plus hornwort and other floating things. It's got a single strip light and a glass top, a power filter, power strip, and a heater. Right now it's filled with jewel cichlid fry that are probably 2 weeks away from being saleable. It needs a new light bulb (this one is very dim at this point) and filter media, but the tank has been thriving without those. You get everything for $40 obo, including the fry (I've got no place else to put them). I've got a metal stand for this one, which can go for an additional $20 if you buy the tank Tank B is the perfect planted tank. It has a fluorite & sand substrate, lots of plants, and an A H Supply 2 x 55 lighting kit with two 55 watt compact flourescent freshwater bulbs included -- you'll need to build or retrofit a top. Tank has lots of plants, plus filter, 2 power strips & heavy duty (3 prong) timer, heater and homemade CO2 setup. Current residents include an angelfish who was odd man out in the "dating" game, a sailfin pleco that is busily outgrowing this tank and which is magnificently ugly and keeps the glass algae free, a juvenile jewel cichlid who barely survived the carnage when his siblings decided to pair up and spawn, and two reticulated cories. You get everything for $95 obo (the lighting kit alone is worth over $100). This is currently on a 1930s style kitchen cabinet, which you can have with it for an additional $20 -- funky, and with good storage. I also have one other 20 gallon tank that was an experiment in the "natural" planted tank, with midling results so far, but does have a full grown amazon sword, power filter, & strip light, and more jewel cichlid fry (which are probably just about at sale size now). I'd be happy to let that go for $20. Why am I doing this? Well, I'm going to have to move in a few months cross country, so I'm going to have to sell them anyway, and right now, quite frankly, I need money for food and utilities. As a result, the sooner I can get cash for these, the better. Hopefully my loss is your gain. _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member
