Hello all,
I have been doing freshwater planted tanks for a few years and thought I
should finally join the GSAS and hit some meetings. I live in Kirkland,
right by Denny's Pet World so I reckon I could make use of the discount,
too... especially since I am setting up a 24g reef soon. :)
Currently, I have a 90g bowfront planted community tropical tank
<http://wrongcrowd.com/gallery/aq-critters/rosybarb1>, and a 5g planted
tank that I keep at work. (I started out in the hobby with a 37g tall
and Eclipse hood... looked nice, but I couldn't make enough light to
keep even the most humble plants alive. Now I have learned to cram PC
bulbs in to everything, though I don't grow anything exotic..)
If anyone is into fw inverts, I am trying to find a good home for a
long-armed prawn. He grew faster than I expected (he is up to 4-5" now)
and has killed a couple of small/medium fish over the last few months.
He's great fun to watch, but in retrospect getting him was a mistake.
Free to good home, yadda yadda. Bad photo:

Hope to see you all at the next meeting,
Matt S.
