I am having an unusual situation with my big planted tank. There is a weird
sulfur-like smell coming from the cabinet area. Maybe my eHeim filter is
burning out? I cleaned out the filter today, thinking it was the tank, but
just the usual dirty filter smell.
Are you sure it isn't the tank? Maybe hydrogen sulfide from an anaerobic
process in the substrate?
Also, now available, Really Red Cherry Shrimp - $2 each.
Do you have any idea how tolerant of nitrates these guys are? I keep
singapore shrimp in my planted tank, but my nitrates are somewhere
between 20-80 ppm... hard to read the color on this darn kit.
Oops, nevermind, found a site that claims 25 ppm max for cherry shrimp.
Darn. I better get a better test kit.
