I collected two-spined Sticklebacks by the Yakima River, over 100 miles away from brackish or salt water. Maybe they came up the Columbia? I've also found young lamprey eels in the same location. If anyone is interested in taking these guys, as I need the tank they are in. They accept all live food, some flake, and probably frozen. They are very inquisitive and swim right up to the glass. I think they're cute. Very sensitive to ich, though, but I've already successfully treated them once with Malachite Green. Cold-water (outdoor) and I wouldn't keep them with other fish. If they get ich, just treat them and do water changes at the first signs of stress. They bite the glass if you wiggle your fingers at them. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.fishbase.org/images/thumbnails/jpg/tn_Gawhe_u0.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/SpeciesSummary.cfm%3Fid%3D3272&h=128&w=211&sz=11&tbnid=uUSF5BFhc1YJ:&tbnh=61&tbnw=101&hl=en&start=4&prev=/images%3Fq%3DGasterosteus%2Bwheatlandi%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG Susan _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member
