I went to all one sex in my tanks for the fish that are so prolific, to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

I have a female Badis badis in my wild-type guppy tank just for that
reason. She is very efficient. Before this, I used a Apistogramma (named
'Jaws') as a baby guppy predator. A few babies survive (the tank is
heavily planted), but I don't have to deal with a deluge of livebearers!
