You can have the whole thing, including all brand new seals and gaskets, the hang-on additional aerator with all the hoses and quick-disconnects for $60. I'll also throw in a few African Cichlids if you want them, and whatever else I find around that I'm not using. Please contact me off list if you are interested. John On Sep 13, 2006, at 9:19 AM, DonaldR wrote: Any tanks left? Holly <holly@ourglasshouse.com> wrote: OK, in the name of simplification I am pretty well going for broke with my tanks... I will know if I'm letting go of the 29g as well on Friday. Still interested in takers on the 38g and possibly the hex again as well. So, I have decided to get rid of my favorite tank, a black backed 80g acrylic that measures 60 x 18 x 17. Here is a pic: http://www.ourglasshouse.com/holly/pets/fish/Sale/80g.jpg It comes with 100lbs of nice white/natural sand that the MTS have been doing a good job of keeping healthy. http://www.ourglasshouse.com/holly/pets/fish/Sale/80gSand.jpg If the sand is not wanted I guess I could sell it separately, though that would make things a bit more difficult. There is no stand, and there are no lights, but I have these Coralife ballasts if the person who takes the tank or anybody else is interested in them. http://www.ourglasshouse.com/holly/pets/fish/Sale/CoralifeBallasts.jpg I paid $40 for them and then never put them to use. The tank does have some small scuffs, and I think a couple of deeper scratches on one end. It is nothing that ever bothered me personally. Make me an offer on any/all of this. As for cherry shrimp, there has been a lot of interest and I'd love to get a batch together for all who'd like some. They are in small tank and doing well so they're not an urgent stress to me as far as my move. Therefore I would like to wait on selling them and pack them up for a meeting when I have more time unless there are any dire shrimp emergencies out there, heh. Thanks again. All with black painted backs and bottoms and black trim. All tanks and hoods are around a year or two old, purchased new. Great QT or breeder tanks, and look good because they all match. They look like this or very similar: http://www.ourglasshouse.com/holly/pets/fish/Sale/10g.jpg Does nobody want the 38g? http://www.ourglasshouse.com/holly/pets/fish/Sale/38g.jpg And nobody is interested in the yellow labs? Please help me get rid of this stuff by my move date! :) Would like all gone by Friday preferably, but may be able to work out a Sunday time. And the comment about the hoods being newer was in regards to some other tanks I'm not sure I'm selling yet. The hoods on these tanks are older. Sorry... Too many things going on in my head at the moment. Holly -----Original Message----- From: gsas-member-bounces@thekrib.com [mailto:gsas-member-bounces@thekrib.com] On Behalf Of Holly Sent: Tuesday, September 05, 2006 9:55 PM To: 'Greater Seattle Aquarium Society member chat' Subject: [GSAS-Member] For Sale I am downsizing from a large 2 bedroom condo to a studio apartment and so I have some aquariums and things I must sell immediately. I am moving on the 9th so the tanks would need to be picked up BEFORE the September meeting here in Issaquah right off the Front Street exit by Boehm's, by Friday night at the latest. I don't know what used equipment goes for so just make me an offer. More than anything I just need this stuff gone ASAP so free may be what we're looking at, but I am unemployed so anything would truly help. All tanks have had portions painted black. I think I did a very good job painting them with high quality paint, but I'm sure you could remove the paint with a razor blade if that's what you prefer. None of these tanks have ever had any leaks and all but the 38g are only a few years old and the hoods are even newer in most cases. I am not including heaters or filters. Here is what I have for supplies: * 38g glass aquarium (36 x 12 x 20), wood trim, painted black background and bottom, with hood. The lid is cracked and taped together so that part is not beautiful but still functional. http://www.ourglasshouse.com//holly/pets/fish/Sale/38g.jpg * 20g glass hex aquarium (18 x 16 x approx 20) with stand and hood, wood trim, painted bottom only. The pins that attach the lid to the rest of the hood are broken off. I swear it's the first thing to break on every tank :P http://www.ourglasshouse.com//holly/pets/fish/Sale/20gHex.jpg * 1g acrylic aquarium, pink, has light but no filter. http://www.ourglasshouse.com//holly/pets/fish/Sale/1g.jpg * 100 lbs multicolored fine gravel. It looks a bit more vibrant and even yellowish under different colors of light. This photo is in natural light. You can see what size the pieces are by comparison with the cherry shrimp. http://www.ourglasshouse.com//holly/pets/fish/Sale/FineGravel.jpg * Bucket full of multi-colored gravel, standard size. BYOB - Bring your own bucket! http://www.ourglasshouse.com//holly/pets/fish/Sale/GravelMulti1.jpg http://www.ourglasshouse.com//holly/pets/fish/Sale/GravelMulti2.jpg * 4 bags of black gravel. 2 bags have sharper edges, and 2 bags are more rounded with an epoxy coating. http://www.ourglasshouse.com//holly/pets/fish/Sale/BlackGravel.jpg All substrate is either unused or very clean. Fish: * 3 Labidochromis caeruleus (Plus one skinny, half blind, and hideous adult as well. I haven't had the heart to kill him and he survives). Among the adults is one strong male and a very willing female that breed often. She's currently holding, in fact. I have at least a dozen medium size, fat, healthy youth. All are acclimated to Seattle water, NOT buffered water like you'd normally find in Malawi. * I also have tons of cherry shrimp should anybody want some. There may be more to come but this is what I have for now. Contact me via Email or call me at 425.736.0743. And pass this on to anybody who might be interested.
