What the group has taught me thus far is that algae indicate a nutrient imbalance. Perhaps the answer is to reduce the number of fish I have in with the plants, since there is no real filtration on the tank. Just a tiny sponge filter and a tiny pump, which are for the purpose of keeping the water moving so the tank does not become warm water on top and cold water below. I think I'll also go back to two bulbs instead of four, since their have been no significant changes with four bulbs. My attempt is to make as ecologically sound a system as possible. That will also make it more resilient if the power goes out in future. I'll postpone plans for adding Hydrogen Peroxide. Neat fish! I have to get some for my work tank, which always has a little bit of every kind of algae, it seems. - Matt S. _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member Dr. John F.
