A plague upon this fish. It's destroyed or destroying native fish ecosystems 
throughout the US. The conservation biologists call it 'damnbusia.'
 
Put some killies, white clouds, livebearers (other than damnbusia) in your 
pond. This way if they escape there's little/no chance they'll overwinter 
(unlike damnbusia) and spread further into washington's water systems.
