LOL, good point. I read "africans" and substituted "cichlids."
The breeding pair of these which I have protect their nest area, but
they are mostly concerned with chasing away fish which have the same
sort of body shape. Loaches etc. don't concern them as much. And they
haven't been responsible for any injuries or undue stress that I can
detect.
Sometimes the papa fish will face off with my tramitichromis
intermedius, who is about the same size, and they'll make faces at each
other for a minute. :)
