Anyone able to help? Rick -----Original Message----- From: Sheryl Grater [mailto:write_to_sheryl@hotmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2007 12:15 AM To: rick-rose@comcast.net Subject: Koi fish help? Dear Rick, I found your information on the internet at http://www.gsas.org/ and thought you might be able to help my husband and I out. We live in on a north Seattle lake and today found a large red koi fish in it! It was staying near the top of the water near the shore and some lily pads. We took our row boat out tonight and rowed near it and it was moving and alive. It swam off and seemed pretty healthy. We saw it againg a little later. Its really easy to spot with its bright color and our lake is not very big. I read that they can be pretty destructive to the environment and are easy prey due to thier bright colors. We do have raccoons, cats, etc here so Im not sure how it will survive. I know they are popular in ponds and I think are pretty expensive fish. Do you have any resources or know someone who would be interested in taking the fish? Wed be happy to help capture it with our boat if need be. Please let me know if you can offer any help. The fish and wildlife rescue laughed at us as did PAWS. Maybe were crazy but we love all creatures and are just looking out for this big red fish!
