[GSAS-Member] External Pump experiences?

Hi all

Wondering if anyone here has experience with 1100-1300gph external
circulation pumps?

I bought a Little Giant 4-MDQX and it's simply to loud. It's got a
defect in the propeller but I'm not to sure that's the cause of the
ridiculously penetrating hum this thing produces that penetrates every
room in the house!

I was looking at these as alternatives:

1. Coralife Turbo-Sea 1270
2. Lifeguard Quiet One 4000 
3. Gen-X PCX-40

Anyone have any suggestions or can shed some light on how LOUD these
pumps are? 

This is in our living room and NEEDs to be quiet. On our previous tank I
ran a Rio3100 and that was tolerable but thats a small pump (~600gph)
the new 180 I'm requiring around 1200gph and I've gone external as I'm
running a large wet/dry system. I sound-boarded the inside of the stand
which cut the noise down a lot but not enough.
