I'm setting up some small pools with miniature waterlilies at my new place and I'd like to put some small shubunkins in them. I have 4 left from our goldfish rescue this past winter, but I'd like to keep them in the pool they've adapted to already. I found some monster shubunkins (8-10") at Denny's Pet World but they are way too big for these ponds, especially newly set up. I'm looking for something less than 4" so they can 'grow into' the pond and not stress the filtration so much right at the get go. Shubunkins are in stock through fosterandsmith live fish, but I'd like to find something local if I can. I can always just use whiteclouds....I have plenty of those. Also, I'm in the market for a large trashed/scratched acrylic tank to quarantine goldfish in. Something at least 100 gallons. As long as it holds water and I can see the fish, it'll work for me as it'll be in the garage....not a livingroom show tank! I don't need any other equipment for it....I've got filters/pumps etc. I do have a 100 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank, but I'd like something clear so it's easier to see what's going on with the fish when they are new and have potential problems. I have aspirations for a larger pond soon....waterlilies/goldfish. We'll see...no koi....it's goldfish that speak to me. You know what I mean... By the way, I heard rumors that the Renton Fish Gallery doesn't have much these days. What's going on??? Is it worth the drive south to check to see if they have any shubunkins?
