Hi: I would put him in a separate tank if he is looking thin, and keep the temp at 85, lots of fresh water and food, live food is great because it can eat at will. I've done blackworms all summer long from the mud pond nearby and my discus loved them and grew double their size. Now I'm feeding Phantom Midges and daphnia. They don't like the water fleas, but do like the midges a lot, and they are easier to deal with than the worms. But the easiest blackworms of all are the ones that you buy for $2 a portion at Sierra, or Blue Sierra. Liem's has them too. I put them in a fine net and have it hang in the tank, and/or a bowl big enough that the worms don't get kicked up and out when the fish go in. They stay alive and fresh. Forget worm keepers. They are a waste of money and the worms die and pollute the water, even in the frig with daily changes. I pick out the leeches. The worms in the mud here don't have leeches, but do have a lot of muck to deal with. He needs a new home as his other half passed on a month or so ago. He's not getting picked on which is surprising. But, he is now hanging out alone away from the other 4. When I fed everyone today, he didn't come to eat. So, I'm afraid his days are numbered in my tank at least. What is everyone's general consensus on this situation? Is he a lost cause all together? Or can he be revived somehow? Rejuvenated? If someone would like to take him, that would be fine with me. What would you do in my situation everyone? -- Sincerely, Robert Jones Jr _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member
