Hey, finally got my 180 gal up n going. 5 pumps later it's running and Danner Mfg (Mag Drive pumps) customer service SUCKS! FYI ... Also, if you plan to use their pumps externally just expect them to leak and cause you many headaches. GREAT pumps, very quiet, efficient but they like to leak out of the bell-housing, poorly designed. Heres a shot of it from today, http://www.dojodesign.com/fish/10_1_2007.jpg The stand isn't completed yet, still got trip to finish on it and a hood to build. All that stuff got put on backburner after it took 7 months to get the filtration running (did I already say FIVE PUMPS) ... heh I couldn't find pure ammonia so I didn't fishless cycle it, got some goldies, felt bad but better than poisoning everything. They all survived and will find a nice home in the 2k gal pond out back next spring. Consolidated all the surviving fish from my 130gal that busted a year ago and a 10gal in the dining room that had some catfish. SO.... I plan to see a small spike in the ammonia and nitrite levels here over the next week but shouldn't be a problem. I got plenty of room for more inhabitants and am specifically looking to see if anyone has any "LARGE" or just fish they need homes for BEFORE I go out and buy some. I'd rather rescue fish from fellow aquarist before pulling out the wallet. It's FW obviously and if anyones got any plecotomus that have outgrown their habitat well I got a BIG home they'd love and so would my family since the biggest fish in there is a 7" Clown loach, although cool be cooler (so my family thinks) to have some larger specimens =) .... Tinfoil barbs are on the list. Let me know! ~DREW dojo@dojodesign.com 360 - 259 - 8297 PS I CANT make the 9th meet I think you guys are having.
