We did have a photographer on board, he promised to send me a cd of all his pics, so hopefully he got some of the arowanas jumping. I'll post it if he did.

Watching black or silver arowanas jump in the wild is definitely on my
"life top 10" list.  It's great to hear that they're still fairly common
in the wild.

I used to have one in a large tank that would jump several body lengths
(it was still medium size) out of it's tank to grab bugs or fish out of my
hand.  Those fish are tons of fun.

I like them better with heads, but I suppose one person's hobby really is
another person's dinner.  Thanks for sharing your pictures, looks like it
was an incredible trip!
