Thanks Dave for the tip, So far, it looks like the Daddy is protecting the precious eggs pretty good. I see him so near the stone he looks to be sitting on it. And occasional un-welcomed, un-announced visit near the nest by the small C.Melanotaenia(they are about the same size as the Gold Rams) are greeted by the dart of the peck although I don't think any does or would land on the Cory. They would dash from the harmful lips. Humm, I don't have any of the fish you mentioned. Maybe I have to go to the store. And it would be a challenge to take out the Corys since the tank is small bow front kind. And I always have tougher time catching fish from the tank with the curve. And there are 5 Corys in it at the moment. But I guess I better take them out without disturbing the Dad too much. That would be a challenge since they have many stuff in the tank, pots of plants, driftwood.,etc. Like I said, this is their first and mine also. So we'll see how it goes. A dither fish like small pencil fish, blue-eyes, or dwarf rasboras might be a better choice.
