I put mine in a 3 gallon pot full of boiling water... works great (needs a lid when they try to climb out though.) Otherwise, well, the only time I've ever heard of anyone doing this, they lived in the Florida Keys and had a tank plumbed out to the water with a pump (tight lid on the tank too) and changed the water with fresh seawater daily, like 50-75%. Didn't feed the critter, just let it filter feed on whatever came in with the seawater. I imagine a full sized lobster would be very challenging to keep as a pet. They'd like cold seawater with lots of oxygen in it and tricky food like plankton.
