I don't know how large your Burmese border loaches are....I suppose there is the potential that they'd eat micro-rasboras. I've got several exclamation-point rasboras (a Boraras) with my 4 Botia striata (zebra loaches) without problem in a heavily planted 10 gallon tank. My loaches are about 2 1/2 - 3". For those unfamiliar with the teeny rasboras, check out: http://budak.blogs.com/the_annotated_budak/2006/01/tiny_fish.html for a few of the brightest. In the past, exclamation-point rasboras were relatively common. I got mine at Blue Sierra (Issaquah). Now that I've got 3 planted tanks without fish....maybe 4 if all the red cherry shrimp in one bit the dust....I may need to check out fish stores again. It's been a couple YEARS since I was store hopping except for shubunkin shopping earlier this year when I didn't allow myself to look at anything else (sigh). I suppose that means I need to dig out some sponge filtration and heaters for those tanks (weak grin). Ummmmm....those boxes are 'somewhere' in the garage....
