That hasn't been a problem. Although the tank has a light strip and glass
cover, there is about a 2" open gap. So far, nothing has escaped that
tank (knock on wood). The photo I sent doesn't show the pectorals
well....which are really interesting. They are 'wing-like' and usually
extend above the bodyline like other hatchetfish, although this genus
lacks the deep-bodied configuration of the hatchets we are used to
seeing. Don't know how available they are....this was a fish the Blue
Sierra freshwater manager, Chris, pointed out to me cuz he knew I liked
unusual fish that didn't turn into huge things. Don't know if he's still
at Blue Sierra....it's been a couple years since I've been there.
