Re: [GSAS-Member] GSAS-Member Digest, Vol 41, Issue 19

Thanks Matt! Currently they are in a 40g tall, but I am looking for a larger tank for them, hopefully around 60g. I did not know I could mix shell dwellers in with them. I used to have frontosas and loved them, but I think I would need a 100g+ tank for them. I like the idea of shellies since they tend to stick to the lower part of the tank. The brichardis stick to the upper mid levels of the tank.

If the tank is tall enough, my fav combo would be brichardi, smallish julies (ornatus or transcriptus, not big 'uns like regani, marlieri or dickfeldi), shell dwellers like ocellatus, and a flock of cyprichromis. But the tank needs to be roomy and have a lot of rocks. Someone below suggested Frontosa, I love frontosa but they get really really big and are carnivores.

No tropheus - too pugnacious and touchy and they're kind of like Nothobranchius killies, they all look alike.

Leleupi would want to occupy the same areas as brichardi so that probably wouldn't work out without enough territories.
