If the tank is tall enough, my fav combo would be brichardi, smallish
julies (ornatus or transcriptus, not big 'uns like regani, marlieri or
dickfeldi), shell dwellers like ocellatus, and a flock of cyprichromis. But
the tank needs to be roomy and have a lot of rocks. Someone below suggested
Frontosa, I love frontosa but they get really really big and are
carnivores.
No tropheus - too pugnacious and touchy and they're kind of like
Nothobranchius killies, they all look alike.
Leleupi would want to occupy the same areas as brichardi so that probably
wouldn't work out without enough territories.
