Shango: I would like some more information but to me it sounds line you made a major change in something (lighting?) about a month ago. A sudden appearance of green water or algae is normal while the system adjusts. In your case it sounds like the tank did not recover. It has been my experience that green water is triggered by a Ammonia spike (ie decaying vegetation). In your case it sounds like most of the plants are affected which in turn produces more Ammonia in a cycle etc. To move forward, I would suggest resetting the tanks with several large water changes and removing most of the dead/dying material. Next you need to establish a dosing routine with carbonate to buffer the KH (if needed) after water changes as you are using CO2 and micro/macro dosing to feed the plants. I woujld be happy to dig up links to the Poor Man's Daily Drops (PMDD) and Estimative Index (EI). Either can be modified for dry dosing, liquid dosing, or commercial supplements. For the first time in a while I turned up the CO2 in my tank so I have lots of plants to bring to the meeting. Most of the fast growing stem plants will go at the small auction in January with the others (crypts & swords) held until the plant auction. -Paul On Fri, 4 Jan 2008, Shango Los wrote: > Hello friends, > > I have a pair of 29 gallon tanks, both with CO2 and 130W of light.a 6,700 K > and a 10,000K bulb.
