I had a magnum canister filter do a spectacular failure years ago. Pumped a
stream of Salt water directly into my TV and stereo system. The ensuing
sparks and smoke made me thankful I was home to deal with it. Only time I
ever collected on my renters insurance... The insurance sent a guy out, one
look, and he started writing me a check.
